In 2020, we marked the International Year of the Nurse by publishing a report on “Palliative Care: Celebrating Nurses Contributions” which was published in 2021 in conjunction with WHPCA and IAHPC. We celebrated 27 nurses achievements in extending palliative care provision around the world. On 2 December we’re inviting all nurses who want to emulate their success in palliative care, as well as representatives of organisations committed to supporting the same goal, to join us for a special one-day online conference.
Organised in partnership with St Christopher’s Hospice, Future Opportunities for the Pioneering Nurse will showcase the work of nursing pioneers globally and inspire and empower others to follow in their footsteps.
Are you a nurse pushing the boundaries to advance the nursing profession? Are you committed to redressing inequalities related to end of life? Would you liketo meet others doing similar work and create a network that could support you in the future? Do you want to be part of a community where you could have real international impact through sharing your practice? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, this conference is for you!
This conference will:
- draw on the experience of nurse pioneers across the globe• be available online
- be supported with real time translationinto French, Spanish and Portuguese
- include breakout rooms for discussion in French, Spanish, Portuguese and English
- be filmed so that you can watch parts again in your own time.
The conference will be held at different times throughout the day to enable nurses from a range of time zones to attend. Click here to find out more, view the programme and book your place to join with the Pioneering Nurses on the 2nd December 2021.
